JVM Programming Language App Reviews

The only problems are those that are out of the developers control: technical limitations and whatnot. Besides those small issues, the app is perfect and really works really well!

I purchased the unlimited compilations feature. Ive used this app to run and compile my code. (I use a different app to write the code because of that apps ability to linking to cloud storage for saving my work.) The error messages are helpful during compilation. I havent tried importing packages or using libraries. As I do more with the app, I hope I remember to return here to update my experiences. I have not used the app to load external data from an array. Frankly, I dont know and dont care if the feature exists. Im just happy to be able to code in Java on my iPhone without the need of a desktop computer.

Im a salesforce.com programmer by trade, so I just downloaded this to brush up on Java proper… Its got an in-app tab for documentation, and whatever you cant find in Javas documentation you can just pop open a Safari window and look up something on stack overflow. Keeps me sane at the dinner table when the kids are acting up!

This program allows you a few compile times and asks you to pay. It is not very forthcoming. I dont mind paying for an app, but dont deceive the customer...

Paid full price for conpulations but it is impossible to import class file so you cant compile! The ui is greatc the keyboard is functional and well made. Too bad i cant run my code.

You can literally do nothing without making an IAP. Its as useful as a message field without a send button. It doesnt let you compile something even ONCE. So why make it free in the first place?

I bought more compilations. But it wont compile anything. So I wasted money on this stupid app. Dont buy anything on this app and just delete it.

UPDATE: SECURITY ALERT!! (Dropped 4 star rating.) There is a spy pixel in the program in the version prior to this update Feb. 22, 2016. Im unsure of this version. I changed the background color from default blue to white and noticed a single blue pixel in the middle right of the screen. I opened notes (light background) and other apps and didnt see the pixel. Then while I was telling a friend about the pixel, I saw it slowly go to bright white then disappear. I took over 10 screenshots of the mystery pixel on white and brown background. I havent seen the pixel again, but I stopped using the app, also. I dont want my creative programs stolen. **************** Review before noticing spy pixel: Good compilation time and thorough error notifications at compile time. I want to be able to load 2, 3, or more classes and run them simultaneously as a package. Right now, the app does NOT supply running multiple classes. Nine times out of 10, my program gets through to compile. One time out of 10, the server locks up and times me out without compiling my program.

The idea of the app is very good but the problem is you have to pay money to have your program be compiled. There is a option for .99 to get 100 compiles or 2.99 for unlimited. That to me just ruined the app itself

You have to compile every time you want to run a program. This is annoying especially since you have to pay for compiles.

App download is free, but you cannot use it without paying for it. Compilation of code cost $1 for 100.
